A Dream Deferred

What happens to a dream deferred?

Does it dry up
like a raisin in the sun?
Or fester like a sore--
And then run?
Does it stink like rotten meat?
Or crust and sugar over--
like a syrupy sweet?

Maybe it just sags
like a heavy load.

Or does it explode?

       Sometimes it feels like the dreams I have feels like they are drifting away.  Feels like everything I want is so so far away.  When those days happen I dig in and try harder and do what needs to be done!
I stay to myself, shut everyone out and talk to myself and God.

       With the air all a buzz about this evenings Powerball drawing let's have some have fun.  Tell us some of the things you would do if you won $500 million.

       For me... If I won that kind of money, many of my family member and friends would also be winners.  Along with giving a lot of it away to charities and those in need I would travel the world and probably become a life long student learning some of everything.  I would continue to write and help other that have dreams of being a writer.

       In my life I try to live my life out loud.  To the best of my ability I think...then decide.  Just like everyone I make mistake but most of the time I chalk it up to just that; a mistake.  There are only a few times I've done things that I later regret.  The one that stands out the most is making the decision not to go away to attend college. 

 

       I used to visit my buddy when he went to Johnson C. Smith and I admired him for living that campus life.  I knew others that went to Bowie, Howard, Hampton and Towson just to name a few and always thought the campus life was the way to go when I was younger.  But it never happened, so....such is life.

       No regrets is how I TRY to live my life; for the most part I’ve succeeded.  How about you?  Do you have many regrets in your life?
